Growing Strong

I am a master gardener......okay, not really, not yet anyway. While none of these beautiful specimens have borne fruit yet they are very happy and getting bigger everyday. B refers to them as my green children and Klyde and I give them lots of tender love and care (mostly Klyde just tries to chew on them). They are so happy to drink up the monsoon rain and lots of little lizards have moved in and begun pest control. I am worried that I will run out of room soon; the squash plants are already covering nearly all of the bok choy and arugala. Apparently I'm not too worried about space though, as I just planted lettuce, carrots and leeks. They haven't sprouted yet, but of course I will keep you updated.

On a home improvement note: Brandon and my dad have been working, slowly, and hopefully I'll actually have something to report soon. The house across the street (which I refer to as the ugly house, and that statement is even more true now) was sold and renovations have begun. Hopefully they plan to flip it, which will help us when we refinance. For now they have painted it the ugliest shade of yellow with a vomitacious green trim. I considered asking them if they were color blind or if they were conspiring to bring my property value down, but I thought better of it. There is certainly no accounting for taste!
