Monsoons and other things to be thankful for

I'm sitting on my back porch enjoying a beautiful hot pink sunset and the smell of desert rain. Its barely drizzling, but its a welcome relief from the Tucson heat. Hopefully it will be enough to bring my sun scorched garden back to life. I'm watching my dog run, like a crazy beast, and I am thankful that she is starting to feel better, yet cautious not to forget that it is a long road ahead. I am thinking about how its July now and how I don't really know where the first half of 2009 went. I feel peaceful.
