Come Walk with Me

My mom just gave me a computer file full of all sorts of neat stuff from my past, inlcuding my wedding "folder" which included this poem that my grandmother wrote and then read for us at our wedding!

Come Walk With Me
Juanita Pope
2007

Life is so much sweeter
When strolling hand in hand
Whether walking on the firmest ground
Or on the shifting sand

Come hold my hand and walk with me
As husband and as wife
Sharing in the wonder
And the worries of this life

For clouds that bring the storms we’ll face
That make us question why
Also bring the rainbows
That arc across the sky

So, patiently and kindly
Let us walk this unknown way
Taking time to share the beauty
That comes to us each day

And when we face uncertain times
We’ll look to heaven above
For of all the gifts that we‘ve been given
The greatest is His love.

Walk closely by my side my dear
We’ll start a married life
Showing love for one another
As husband as and as wife

Come…….walk with me
